SHE WENT TO NURSING SCHOOL, I WENT TO ARCHITECTURE SCHOOL AND WE ENDED UP COMING BACK AND SHE'S, WE LIVE IN THE HOUSE THAT HER FATHER WAS BORN IN HER GRANDFATHER ON AND ON.

SO I LIVE NEARBY, BUT I'M FROM RALEIGH.

THAT'S MY HOMETOWN.

I KNOW A LOT ABOUT THE NEWBURN AREA IN PARTICULAR BECAUSE WE CAME HERE ON WHEN WE WERE DATING.

UM, AND WE WENT TO SOME PLACES THAT WE WEREN'T ALLOWED TO GO.

UH, ONE OF THEM WAS CALLED THE LANTERN.

SO WE'VE JUST BEEN SORT OF INCHING OUR WAY BACK TO THE EASTERN PART OF THE STUDY, WHICH I LOVE VERY MUCH.

AND, UH, SO ANYWAY, UM, WE ALSO HAVE DONE A GOOD AMOUNT OF WORK IN NEWBURN.

COINCIDENTALLY, WE DO WORK IN JACKSONVILLE WILMINGTON, LOT OF WORK AT EAST CAROLINA UNIVERSITY.

WE DID THE CAROLINA HE'S CANCER CENTER THAT YOU'RE PROBABLY FAMILIAR WITH.

AND, UM, WE WERE ON THE TEAM FOR THE NORTH CAROLINA HISTORY CENTER.

THAT WAS OUR PROJECT.

AND WE'RE WORKING WITH JIMMY ROYSTER WITH MOSAIC ON THE AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROJECT ON CAROLINA AVENUE.

THAT'S OUR PRODUCT AS WELL.

SO HISTORY HERE, I FOUND OUT ABOUT THE RAMADA INSIGHT AND BECAUSE WE'RE, WE'RE SORT OF NEWBORN CENTRIC, MY WIFE WAS BORN IN KINSTON AND WE'RE A LITTLE BIT CLOSER TO THE KINSTON A NEIGHBOR OVER MORE OR LESS HALFWAY IN BETWEEN.

UH, BUT WE, WE TEND THIS WAY BECAUSE YOU'VE GOT HARRIS TEETER AND , AND FOR A LONG TIME, YOU'VE GOT A STARBUCKS NOW IS REALLY THE BIGGEST DRAW.

SO STORM WATER WON'T NECESSARILY BE AN ISSUE WHICH CAN SOMETIMES BE COSTLY.

IF YOU HAVE A SITE THAT WAS UNDEVELOPED AND YOU HAVE TO TREAT THE STORM WATER.

A LOT OF TIMES IT HAS TO GO UNDERGROUND, WHICH IS VERY COSTLY.

SO YOU'VE GOT A SITE RELATIVE TO DEVELOPMENT.

THAT'S MORE OR LESS FLAT WHEN I WAS OUT THERE ON THE POURING DOWN RAIN A FEW MINUTES AGO.

IT'S A PRETTY GOOD FLAT.

UM, SO THAT'S CAN BE A GOOD THING.

ULTIMATELY WE WERE DIRECTED TO MOVE FORWARD WITH FIGURING OUT HOW TO DO IT, WORKING WITH THE HOUSING GROUP.

UM, WE'VE PRETTY MUCH ASSEMBLED THE ENTIRE PROFORMA FOR, FROM MOVING THE PROPERTY SURVEYING, IT'S SURVEYING A NEW PROPERTY, GETTING THE PHOTOS AND THE FOUNDATION BUILT AND GET THE ULTIMATE REHAB OF IT, ALL THAT TOP, ALL THOSE COSTS.

BUT WE BOUGHT $115,000 TO GET IN THE HOUSE ON THE LOT.
