THE MAYOR WOULD LIKE TO EXPRESS HIS BUSINESS.

IF HE HAD TO TAKE CARE OF FIRST ITEM ON THE AGENDA FROM THE CITY ENGINEER, GOOD EVENING BOARD, THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT TREE DUE TO A TOTAL OF 125 MILLION GALLONS OF WASTEWATER DURING THE MONTH OF MARCH, THE AVERAGE DAILY CLOSE 4.4 0.1 MILLION GALLONS PER DAY.

AND, UH, I THINK THERE'S A TYPO HERE ON THE MAXIMUM, AND IT'S ALSO STATED AS 4.1.

I THINK THAT'S AN ERROR BECAUSE WE RECORDED 7.17 INCHES OF RAIN AT THE PLANT.

UM, THE PLANT IS UNDER AN SOC AND THEY ARE MEETING THE CRITERIA OF THE SOC AND ARE WITHIN THE LIMITS.

THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE PLANT IS APPROXIMATELY A 50% COMPLETE ON THE BIOLOGICAL TREATMENT UNITS, THE, UM, FILTER, UH, THERE'S GOING TO BE A FILTER THAT THE WASTEWATER WILL TRAVEL THROUGH BEFORE IT IS DISCHARGED TO THE RIVER.

UM, THE FOUNDATION ON THAT HAS BEEN DUG AND THEY'RE READY TO START POURING CONCRETE THERE.

UH, SLOW STABILIZATION BUILDING HAS FINALLY GOTTEN THE PAD POURED.

MOST OF THE FLOOR OF THE BUILDING IS POURED.

AND, UH, THEY'RE BEGINNING TO GET PARTS FOR THAT BUILDING.

UM, A LOT OF WORK GOING ON AT THE WASTE TREATMENT PLAN.

IF YOU HAVEN'T MADE IT BY THERE AND HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO LOOK AT THE CONSTRUCTION, I WOULD ENCOURAGE YOU TO DO THAT JUST TO BE SURE YOU CHECK IN AT ONE OF THE CONSTRUCTION TRAILERS TO GET A HARD HAT AND LET THE PEOPLE KNOW THAT YOU ARE THERE, BUT IT'S QUITE MASSIVE AND QUITE IMPRESSIVE.

AND I WOULD ENCOURAGE YOU TO GO BY AND TAKE A LOOK AT THAT THE, A QUARRY PROJECT AT THIS POINT IN TIME, UH, NEWBURN RECLAMATION, PROJECT, WATER RECLAMATION PROJECT.

UH, THERE REALLY IS NO CHANGE FROM LAST MONTH, UH, STATUS THE, UH, GARDEN STREET CBDG PROJECT, UM, WHICH ACTUALLY ENTAILS FOUR PROJECTS, UM, LAYING OF THE PIPE IS COMPLETE.

UH, WE'VE STARTED PAVING, UM, IN SEVERAL AREAS.

UH, THE GARDEN STREET PROJECT WILL BE THE LAST TO GET PAVED.

HOPEFULLY WE'LL DO THAT AT THE BEGINNING OF NEXT WEEK OR A LITTLE LATER THAN THAT.

IT SHOULD TAKE ABOUT FOUR OR FIVE DAYS PAVED THAT WHOLE AREA OVER THERE.

UM, I'LL ENTERTAIN ANY QUESTIONS IF YOU HAVE ANY YES, MA'AM, I'M BASED ON THEIR PROGRESS.

THEY STARTED ACTUALLY PAVING.

UM, I BELIEVE IT WAS LAST WEDNESDAY MORNING AT, UH, GLEN BURNIE ROAD AND THEY'VE PAVED EVERY DAY.

UM, THEY HAVE GONE OVER TO NORTH SECOND AVENUE AND, UM, WE'LL MOVE FROM THERE TO THE, UM, GARDEN STREET PROJECTS.

THAT'S GOING TO TAKE A COUPLE OF DAYS BECAUSE THEY'RE ACTUALLY GOING TO INSTALL SOME, UH, ADDITIONAL PARKING, UM, THAT WAS REQUESTED THERE.

AND THEN WE'RE GOING TO, UM, MOVE TO THE GARDEN STREET PROJECT.

BUT ACTUALLY IT WAS AN ADDITION, UM, A CHANGE ORDER THAT, UM, I ASKED THE MANAGER, IF I COULD DO THAT, WE, UM, HAD A SEWER BLOCKAGE IN THAT AREA AND COULD NOT GET OUR SEWER JET TRUCK NEW, OUR CAMERA PAST A PLACE THAT HAD COLLAPSED.

UM, SO I ASKED IF I COULD DO AN EXTRA, AN EXTRA 270 FEET UNDER THE CONTRACT AND HE LET ME DO THAT.

THAT'S GOING TO COST ABOUT AN EXTRA $18,000 TO DO THAT PORTION, BUT, UH, WE DID THAT AS A CHANGE ORDER.

SIR, I'M SORRY.

I WAS OUT OF TOWN THIS MORNING.

I'M NOT SURE WHAT WAS HAPPENING.

I'M SURE THE CRANE WAS LIFTING A PUMP OUT OF SOME SORT.

UM, BUT FEMA HAS TO APPROVE THAT.

SO WE'RE WAITING FOR THE APPROVAL ON THAT ONE, AND THAT WILL BE READY TO GO.

UH, ONE UNIT IS GETTING REHABILITATION IN THE LOWER LIVING SPACE HERE.

UM, THERE ARE THREE UNITS WE WANT TO REBID A BIT INITIALLY BACK IN DECEMBER OF 2000, WE'RE HOPING TO GET BIDS ON THE MAJORITY OF THOSE DURING THE MONTH OF MAY.

UM, SO WE CAN PROCEED ON THOSE.

AND THEN YOU SEE THE ACQUISITIONS THERE.

WE HAVE SIX THAT ARE COMPLETE THREE, THAT THE FOLKS ARE ANXIOUS, ANXIOUSLY AWAITING PERMISSION FROM FEMA TO PROCEED WITH THEIR ACQUISITIONS.

AND THEY'RE TWO THAT THE OWNERS STILL NEED TO MAKE SOME DECISION ON HOW TO PROCEED.

UM, SO WE REALLY HAVEN'T MADE THE PROGRESS IN THE LAST THREE MONTHS AND WE WANTED TO, UH, BUT I THINK IN THE LAST 30 DAYS WE'VE GOTTEN THOSE THINGS, WORKED OUT TO WHERE WE CAN PROCEED IN BEFORE YOU'VE DONE THIS, WOULD THAT, DOES THAT COMPLETE THE NUMBER FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE PROGRAM? THE 41 IS WHAT WE HAD ROUGHLY ESTIMATED DEPENDING ON A LOT OF THINGS THAT WE WOULD BE ABLE TO DO WITH OUR INITIAL FUNDING.

WE DON'T KNOW WHETHER WE'LL BE ABLE TO PURSUE ANY OTHER MONEY AND WE HAVE SOME INDICATIONS POSSIBLY WE CAN.

UM, BUT WE'RE FOCUSING ON THE FIRST 41 HIGHEST PRIORITY.
