AND WE ARE THRILLED BEYOND BELIEF TO HAVE HER WITH US.

UH, YOU'VE BEEN HERE IN FACT TWO WEEKS NOW AND SHE HAS JUMPED RIGHT INTO THE FIRE, SO TO SPEAK AND HAS WORKED WITH, I KNOW SHE'S WORKED WITH OUR, THE HOUSING WORK GROUP, UH, AND WE APPRECIATED HER ATTENDANCE AND HER INPUT.

I ACTUALLY CAME FROM A SELF-SUFFICIENCY PROGRAM AND GRADUATED AND MOVED UP FROM A RESIDENT TO A DIRECTOR.

I LEFT THE WILMINGTON HOUSING AUTHORITY AND WENT TO THE HIGH POINT HOUSING AUTHORITY THERE.

I WAS VICE PRESIDENT OF ASSET MANAGEMENT, SECTION EIGHT AND PROCUREMENT.

I LEFT THERE AND WENT TO BROWARD COUNTY AND WAS THE DEPUTY EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR THERE AT THE HOUSING AUTHORITY FOR THREE YEARS.

THEN I SAID, HEY, IT'S TIME FOR ME TO COME BACK.

HOME CAME BACK TO WILMINGTON IN 2018 AND WORK WITH FEMA.

WE WERE DEPLOYED, WENT TO LOUISIANA.

SO I WAS IN THAT ROUTE AND, UM, CAME BACK FOR A MINUTE, TOOK 30 DAYS OFF ON SUNDAY NIGHT OF MY 30 DAYS AT 1201.

THEY WERE CALLING ME TO TELL ME TO GO TO TEXAS.

AND THAT'S WHEN I RESIGNED.

CAUSE I SAID, HOW LONG? THEY SAID 52 WEEKS.

SO, WOW.

THAT WAS WHEN I RESIGNED.

SO I WAS HERE DURING FLORENCE.

UM, AND A LOT OF WHAT I DID WAS ON THE HOUSING SIDE.

IT INITIALLY STARTED OFF WITH, YOU KNOW, FILLING, FILLING OUT APPLICATION AND PUT THE INFORMATION OUT THERE FOR MOVING PEOPLE INTO PURCHASING TRAILERS AND THAT SIDE AS WELL.

MATT, DO YOU WANNA GIVE US AN UPDATE ON THAT? SURE.

SO THIS IS, UH, THIS INVOLVES THE FY FIELD STORM WATER ENHANCEMENT PROJECT, UH, WHICH IS, UM, THE PROJECT THAT'S BEEN NOW ONGOING FOR A WHILE.

AND PHASE ONE IS ALMOST COMPLETE WITH THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE DETENTION BASIN AT THE END OF MIDDLE STREET AND RHODE ROSE STREET AND PEP STREET.

UM, AND, OR I'M SORRY, K STREET.

UH, AND, UM, SO PHASES TWO AND THREE ARE, UH, BEING DESIGNED AND ARE ALMOST FINISHED AND THE ENGINEERS NEED TO ACCESS ALL OF THE PROPERTIES THAT ARE IN THAT SECTION OF THE PROJECT.

AND YOU OWN SEVERAL OF THOSE, I THINK ABOUT SECOND OR EIGHT OR 10 SEPARATE PROPERTIES.

AND WE ARE ONLY GONNA GIVE IT, UM, UNTIL SEPTEMBER 28TH, I THINK IS A WEDNESDAY IT'S LIKE TWO WEEKS.

AND I FEEL, UM, PRETTY CONFIDENT THAT ONE OF THE BIDDERS WHO WAS UNABLE TO GET HIS BID IN IN TIME WILL BE BIDDING THE PROJECT AND, UM, DEIA AND I WERE MAKING A PLAN TO REACH OUT TO SOME OTHER, UM, LOCAL BIDDERS THAT WE KNOW HAVE BID PROJECTS BEFORE AGAIN, AND JUST SEND THEM THE INFORMATION WE'RE GONNA SEND THEM THE WHOLE SET OF CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS AND HOPEFULLY WIDEN THAT HEALED A LITTLE BIT.

WE ARE AT THE PLACE SINCE WE HAD, THIS WILL BE OUR THIRD ADVERTISEMENT THAT IF WE ONLY RECEIVE ONE BID, WE CAN OPEN IT AND THEN NEGOTIATE WITH THAT BID.
