AND THE, THE RAIN SINCE THEN, 'CAUSE IT'S BEEN OVER 20 YEARS SINCE THEN, HAS CAUSED THE EMBANKMENT TO FALL.
I'VE ALREADY HAD A FENCE, ONE FENCE TO FALL OVER INTO THIS, TO THIS CANAL.
THERE'S A UTILITY POLE THAT HOLDS THE ELECTRICITY TO THAT AREA.
AND THE, UH, TRANSFORMER IS ABOUT TO GO OVER THE NEXT TIME THE EMBANKMENT FALLS.

TODAY'S STAFF IS SEEKING THE APPROVAL TO ADOPT AN ORDINANCE TO DEMOLISH THE STRUCTURE LOCATED AT 9 31 SAM STREET.
STAFF HAS SENT THE OWNER A RECORD, THE INITIAL MINIMAL HOUSING VIOLATION LETTER ON MARCH 4TH, 2020, STATING THAT THE DWELLING LOCATED AT 9 31 SAM STREET HAD DEFICIENCIES VIOLATING THE CITY'S MINIMAL HOUSING CODE.
STAFF HAS ATTEMPTED TO CONTACT THE OWNERS VIA EMAIL AND THE PHONE AND HAVE, HAVE, HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE OWNER.
THE OWNER HAS STATED THAT HE WILL APPLY FOR A DEMOLITION PERMIT AND AS OF LAST WEEK HE DID AS OF HIS EVENING BEFORE I CAME HERE, THAT PERMIT HAS STILL YET TO BE PAID FOR.

UH, THE DEMOLITION PERMIT THAT WAS RECENTLY APPLIED FOR THE STRUCTURE STILL REMAINS NON-COMPLIANT.
DEMOLITION ESTIMATE FOR THIS IS GONNA BE $7,035 DOES NOT INCLUDE THE ASBESTOS TESTING AND ABATEMENT AND THE UTILITIES HAVE BEEN TERMINATED ON THIS PROPERTY ALREADY.
